Earlier this month, Reload’s Head of Performance and Digital Media Manager, Sophie Viallard and Michael Chen, attended the annual Ad Week conference in New York. Spanning over four days, and with insights from 1,136 speakers, Ad Week is the pre-eminent marketing conference attended by partners, agencies and celebrities alike.

All topics relative to our changing industry today were covered with roughly 300 seminars over the four day conference. At Reload, we ensure we remain at the forefront of the digital marketing landscape and events such as Ad Week are a fantastic opportunity for us to continue our market leadership. Below is a recap of Sophie and Michael’s “week in pictures,” with their full conference takeaways to be released over the coming weeks.

Josh Golden (Publisher AdAge), Patrick Albano (CRO of AdTheorent), Ali Bohra (Director, Strategy and Product Marketing at Adobe), Nishat Metha (President at IRI Worldwide), Craig Snodgrass (Chief Data Officer from Cardlytics) and Justin Shriber (Vice President of Marketing at LinkedIn) discuss how to use data in a smart way and how this will shape your expectations of your future data.

Quantcast discuss attribution modelling and the steps required to get a clearer picture of results from display advertising.

Bridget Davies (VP Advertising at eBay North America) and Susan Panico (SVP Strategic Solutions at Pandora), discuss the need to move from device-centric targeting to people-based messaging.

Various speakers representing Barker, BOXED, De’Longhi, Nike and PSFK.com talking about “Surviving and Thriving in the Retail Apocalypse.”

Exposure to all these thought leaders allowed for insight into a broad range of topics covering artificial intelligence, the use of influencers and mobile devices in building brands, and assistance based marketing. Over the coming weeks, Sophie and Michael will be providing their own personal accounts of the conference.
