How Reload helped PODS acquire so many leads that they ran out of storage containers!

The Challenge

PODS were seeking a lead generation solution to drive quality enquiries through their website.

PODS Australia are a moving and storage company that have an extremely unique selling proposition; they enable their customers to store and move using mobile storage containers. PODS deliver, transport and store containers nationwide. 

PODS approached Reload to help with their digital marketing (and eventual consolidation) of their three websites. Their primary objective was to achieve a cost per lead below a set target across all paid campaigns.

The Solution

We started by delivering a custom promotional campaign to help boost enquiries while the PODS website was under redevelopment. The aim of the campaign was to connect users with PODS’ high performing sales team.

The Reload team focused their attention on high converting groups within the client’s Google Ads account in order to decrease the average cost per enquiry.

As phone enquiries were an important source of leads for PODS, we set up phone tracking through Google Ads. This allowed us to identify high value keywords which were generating the most phone enquiries, so we could optimise the campaigns at a keyword level for better performance.

The Process

Delivering a comprehensive tracking recommendations plan to enable us to properly measure digital marketing results 

Developing a custom promotional campaign to boost enquiries while the PODS website was under redevelopment. 

Focusing on high-converting ad groups within Google Ads to decrease the average cost per enquiry. 

Setting up phone tracking through Google Ads to determine which search keywords were generating phone enquiries. This allowed Reload to better optimise the campaigns at a keyword level.

The Results

PODS’ Google Ads campaigns are now producing new leads at 27.1% below the target cost per enquiry. The success of these campaigns generated a massive increase in demand for the business, causing PODS to run out of storage containers in at least one city.
